If the skin around the heel is too dry or heavily pressed by walking all day, the heel becomes rough. In rare cases, heels become rough even when omega-3 fatty acids and zinc are lacking.

A rough heel means that the foot is not well maintained. Coarse heels indicate lack of moisture and may be a sign of other health problems. Usually, this occurs on the outermost layer of the skin, but it can also spread to the inside of the dermis. If you don't manage your coarse heels, you can be accompanied by pain.
